I've been waiting for this day that I can finally share the start of my film journey with you. Michael and I have always wanted to visit Europe for as long as we can remember. We talked about it on multiple occasions and it always seemed like a distant dream we'd never see come to reality. Well, one day we realized that Europe couldn't wait any longer, and we decided to take a huge risk and plan to go there on our honeymoon. Most couples would opt for the usual all-inclusive tropical beach resort (and I did want this earlier on), but at some point we realized that the beach isn't going anywhere. Europe is not always the easiest option, and it couldn't have been more perfect timing for us.
After we got married in May, we packed our suitcases and left the country for Europe. Of course, since it was our first time we had to make all the important tourist-y stops. Here's a list of the places we visited:
- Dublin, Ireland
- Cork, Ireland
- London, United Kingdom
- Edinburgh, Scotland
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Paris, France
I traveled with my 35mm film camera every step of the way and I'm glad I chose to do that. Film has a way about it that simply can't be matched. Before film, I would normally snap, snap away on a digital camera or my iPhone, but with film I take my time, carefully deciding what I do and don't want to capture. It pleasantly slowed me down in Europe I was able to get some amazing images I relive every time I look at them.
I hope you enjoy browsing our honeymoon photos and living the moments with us. In a way, I think Europe chose us, and I know we'll be returning someday soon.
