Earlier this year towards the end of July (only WEEKS after we moved it to our new apartment in Gaithersburg), I received an incredible opportunity to second shoot with Chelsea over at Chelsea Blanch Photography and her fabulous bride and groom, Laura and Ben.
I feel like I say this every time I talk about a wedding, but I've never been in the presence of two people who are so in love with one another as Ben and Laura. Ben and Laura could go their whole lives without speaking a word and the world would just know their love story. These two souls have something so special that it has absolutely no explanation except that they were made to be husband and wife. I'm honestly so grateful I had the chance to witness their heartfelt exchange of vows alongside Chelsea. Their closest friends and family surrounded them with love from beginning to end, and it was a day to remember. I know for sure they always will.
The ceremony was held at the beautiful Mt. Hebron Presbyterian Church in Ellicott City, Maryland. Close friends and family of the bride and groom watched as Ben and Laura said 'I do' and sealed their union with a first kiss. Rain began to pour heavily as we all made our way to the reception space at Howard County Conservancy.
Despite the circumstances (aka—the Ellicott City flood that made national news), Laura and Ben's reception remained one for the books. Chelsea is a fabulous photographer and grabbed a few amazing shots of this unforgettable couple after I left braving the drenching rain. Trudging through the rain was so worth it, you guys.
