It's been a while since I've posted about a wedding in Mississippi, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't LOVE being Amanda and Rocky's wedding photographer. They are fun, relaxed, and warm, an amazing combination that anyone would be excited about. Amiright?
Amanda and Rocky tied the knot at Liberty Baptist Church in Newton, Mississippi, about a two-hour drive from my old stomping grounds. The colors were gray and navy with faint touches of gold and silver throughout. Amanda's blush-ivory dress fit perfectly with the laid-back feel of the wedding day. It was a gorgeously sunny day and their indoor church ceremony couldn't have been more perfect as their family and friends gathered to watch them exchange their vows. The reception space was relaxed and rustic with bright pops of color to match.
I was excited to be traveling all the way from Maryland where I'd been in full swing shooting weddings just about every weekend. I was so relieved to catch a break and have a good time with Amanda and Rocky for a while. We shot the majority of their portraits at the church before we traveled a lodge in Decatur called The Legion Hut for their reception.
I thoroughly enjoyed my alone time with Amanda and Rocky, and I hope my photos reflect it. It is always a huge honor to be chosen to take pictures at someone's wedding (let alone get paid for it!), and Amanda and Rocky's has been one of the most fun to date. Amanda and Rocky, I know I've said this about a million times in phone calls and email, but I really can't express enough how thankful I am to have been your wedding photographer. I say this with a full heart: I wish you both a beautiful marriage together filled with good times, laughter, and most important of all, love. Cheers to you both!
