The first time I'd ever gotten on a plane to travel to shoot a wedding was for Brent and Cherie in Biloxi, MS. I also hadn't met either of them prior to the booking, but could tell by Cherie's initial enthusiasm that we were going to make a great team. From our first couple of chats, leading up to our final few emails, Cherie has treated me like family. Needless to say, I've never been so thrilled to fly back home and photograph a beautiful vintage wedding on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Our day started at the Beau Rivage Casino Resort & Spa in Biloxi where I met Cherie and her mom for getting-ready photos. Cherie and I both share a love of details and she.. had.. LOTS of them. If you can't tell by my enthusiasm right now, I was pretty stinkin' excited when she showed me this small array of fine-detailed beauties. She even did her own calligraphy for her invitations! That's dedications right there, folks... and I officially approve.
After Cherie finished getting dressed and ready, we made our way over to The Redding House, just a few minute's drive from the hotel. The rest of the evening's celebrations took place here and we couldn't have felt more welcome. Cherie and Brent's friends and family made us feel right at home like one of their guests, and it was like we'd known each other for years. We enjoyed getting to meet everyone closest to you both who care so much about you.
Cherie and Brent, congratulations! You're married. I truly hope you love your wedding photos. It was my sincerest pleasure to be your wedding photographer, and best of luck to you both in your marriage. I'm honored to call you friends, and you know you can always call me in the future. Cheers!
